Why Should I hire a Professional Organizer?

There are times in life when we need the help of a professional to accomplish our goals. Hiring a professional organizer will help you take control of your space and your time. Organizers will assess your circumstances & challenges to help create solutions while educating you on how to continue to be organized. When you declutter and get organized, you will find that you will have more time & be less stressed.  You will no longer be wasting time looking for your stuff or wasting money buying stuff you already had. Get organized so you can begin to live simpler and be free of clutter chaos.

I’m embarrassed.

Don’t be. We all have strengths and getting you organized is what an organizer is great at. We understand that life is busy and making the time to get organized can be overwhelming. We also understand that you will be opening up a part of your life to us. This is a very personal matter and whatever your circumstance is, we do not judge. You pay for speciality services all the time because it helps you – hiring an organizer is no different. Pay for the help and be truly organized.

Is this confidential?

Without a doubt your information will be held in confidence. As a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) I am bound by their Code of Ethics. Any physical or verbal content expressed during the course of your project will remain confidential and will not be shared.

How long will it take?

It will depend on how involved, committed and motivated you are to the process. Timing is affected by how quickly you can make decisions. I will help you make necessary decisions by asking questions and offering advice. Keep in mind that getting organized is a process and one that is ongoing & can certainly change as your needs change.

Should I be there to help?

In most circumstances I will work side-by-side with you to help you create systems that are structured to fit your individual personality and needs. There are times that once the client’s specific goals and personal styles are understood, professional organizers can work alone on some pieces of the project. Each situation is different and will be discussed early on in the process.

I don’t like to “throw” things away.

I will not make you throw things out, however, I will help you make the best decision for you based on your goals. Keep in mind that you should be prepared to make some tough decisions to help you reach your declutter and organization goals.

I feel bad throwing things away!

Don’t be because there are so many resources in our counties for you to donate or recycle. You will feel good about donating items to charities knowing it is helping someone less fortunate. I also offer drop off services of your items to local places.

Can I do any prep work?

Yes, without a doubt. We can discuss “homework” at the end of the in-home consultation.

What products should I buy prior?

Nothing. Until you declutter and know what you’re keeping you won’t know what you’ll need. We will try to use what you have first if that is what you choose or purchase some new organizing items.
